[Jim Lanard, President, Offshore Wind Development Coalition:] “…Offshore wind has the potential to create tens of thousands of high-skilled jobs and many economic development and manufacturing opportunities along our coasts, the Gulf of Mexico and in the Great Lakes. This COP will serve as a guide for other offshore wind developers as they continue to actively pursue leases in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Great Lakes.”

[Jim Lanard, President, Offshore Wind Development Coalition:] “…Establishment of a robust offshore wind industry requires a federal – state partnership. The model established in Massachusetts will serve our industry well as we continue to develop more offshore wind farms off our coasts. We hope that the precedent set today will enable other offshore wind developers to gain their approvals without having to run the ten-year marathon that Cape Wind had to endure.”
